minimalist flooring

my name is stephanie erlbeck and i am theowner of bodyrok encinitas, and we specialize in group fitness classes on the mega reformer, spin classes and we do a combination class of the spin and the pilates. so, when we took over the space and renovatedit, we decided to go with sort of a minimalist industrial sort of feel and we thought thatit would look cool to have like a finished concrete floor. the paint started to chip from the weightsand the handles from the machines hitting the floor. we have, you know, 10 classes a day of peoplesweating and having to you know to use a cleaning

solution to clean up the floors, so, and thenwe also have spin in the studio so people walk across the floor in spin shoes that have, you know, metal spikes on them. so one of our clients had actually used calibamboo and was happy with it and suggested that we, you know, look at it so i neededsomething that had a gray tone in it, and so we’ve had the floors now about a monthand all of that same stuff is going on, and there’s not one dent. it’s very durable. the floors have created a warmth that didn’texist with the concrete floors before, and it has just added to the warmth and the feelthat i was trying to create when we designed

the studio. we’re really happy with the cali vinyl floorsand we’re really happy with how it turned out and how easy it was to install and thelook and feel of the floors. thanks cali bamboo!
